I still have tons of other pictures, most importantly the 3 videos I talked about (but ignore all comentary LOL)

They are 22 mb 23 mb and 43 mb or something like that... If anyone wants to host them hit me up on MSN and let me know... I can't attach files that huge so I can only direct upload...

I'm too tired from the trip to continue, and we're playing GT3 atm... So I'll check back in later with more pics...

I went around mostly in 2nd as the road demanded it... There was this one part in one of the videos I took I said "one gear"... I meant first gear LOL but yeah, it's crazy to think about going fast... Blind turns most of the time and there are over 365 turns to the top... Without a spotter running 5 mins ahead, you're risking a lot of people's safety if you go too fast...

However, I myself was doing 3K in 2nd most of the time even through the hair pin turns... The 2nd video shows me ripping through a semi single lane section of the run... I was in 4th gear there ripping it up after I see some opening... I had to heel toe to avoid one of the on comming cars toward the end...

I also kept my lane in all turns unless it was an open right hander... Needless to say the lanes were probably only a few inches wider than the track of the truck... This lead to a LOT of steering work...

I reved the truck a few times to 4, but tend to stay near 3 just to be safe... I purposely shift higher to practice my heel toe too...

Statistics for the trip...

# 1st gear shifts: probably 5, only because the truck is new and I'm not too much a fan of first gear...

# of cars met along the way: 4 opposite 2 flow, and 2 bikers... The slower traffic always yield for the people that catch up... Which is nice...

# of wiggles / semi sideways: 2, once because there was a lot of dirt on the road during a left hand turn, then the rear wheels broke loose and I fish tailed... Second one came when I nearly missed an idiot BMW doing apex on a blind corner gonig down... I had to swerve into the rest area where lots of dirt was and the rears kicked out a bit...

# of turns that needed turn lock: 1, there was a turn near the top (the enlarged photo) that was impossible to run in anything other than first gear and almost 5 mph...

When someone finds a way to host my videos, you'll get a better idea of how crazy bumpy / twisted the road is... With a spotter, I can go buck wild apexing every turn, however, I don't feel safe enough on the up trip to do that with the truck... Turn radius and weight is a major set back...

I'll talk about the down trip tomorrow which IMO was a LOT more fun and I'll tell you now... The XR can NOT break loose... I tried to swing it on the down slopes (lots more open turns due to the leverage) doing apex and fient drifts... I even tried to roll down the hill with no brakes apexing a hairpin (no weight transfer) and the truck will NOT plow... NOTHING will break the truck loose... Not even a squeak (well from my [censored] rear suspension there were TONS!!!)... I'll talk more about the down trip tomorrow as it was better than the up...

I don't have video of the down trip, but the next time I go back there, I'll have a video camera to capture both the up and down trips...
