Damn Delays!!!

Hi Ka Man,
Your truck is showing it will be delivered to the dealership between the 17-19 of this month. Due to the holiday the ship date was delayed. Since the truck is still in "A" status (Allocation) I only have the last 8 digit of the VIN#5Z039775. I won't know the rest of the VIN until the status change to "F" status (Freight) which I expect it to change any day now.

ill bet it wont come in another week either, from what three dealerships told me, they can assume when some are, but only know for sure when one is coming once its on the report, which is two weeks ahead. i have to get my refund back twice since people were lying, and the sales manager was very nice to offer a dicount but i opted to get one when they had it. quit getting dicked around and go find one and buy it.

I just don't think buying a brand new truck and let some strangers pay you $100 and stomp your truck for 47 miles is worth it... Also the doors and tailgate has been open more times than my own bedroom door... I have a garage both at work and at home, so the dmg they done to the paint in the showroom is like 3 year's worth of natural dmg...

Also, not too many dealers are letting them go under MSRP, $500 under is a price only 2 dealers are willing to give... I'm definately going to work at least another $200 off them (because I know $100 is possible since they already offered it once)... If they don't, then we're going to have a hard time comming to a decision...

From my test drive I only got a 8 out of 10 for the truck... I'm not THAT shot if it don't become my next ride, especially from the large dip in mileage I'm expecting compared to my last ride http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif... I however got an 11 out of 10 for the RX-8 which did nothing but impressed me... I have mechanical gripes about the car, but it's #2 on the list as far as priorities go...

Still, I took the next week off work... It's do or die now for the dealership... Before I go 8 hunting, I'm gonna ask around once more for the XR and see if I can get a piece of that 21K action some people are crazy enough to encounter... The only way they'll make me stay for ONE more dicking is if the price was right...

My friend don't need his car back anytime soon, and I don't want to drive it so it keeps me at home saving some $$$... We'll see next week... I charged my cam up yesterday and can't use it... Palo Alto dealer is the other one I'm going to if this one stinks it up past next week... I've taken vacation so if they screw me, then it's not worth waiting for anymore...

I found this on the Toyota's website down by my work (where i bought my taco a few years back) Looks like they will be getting an XR. They are down near Atlantic city. Make sure you get what you want, read the contract, scratch the monthly payments cause they can play games with them, tell them 23,xxx and that what you want to see in the contract...

Dont go in with a attitude cause they can even raise your intrest just to make money.... its a lose lose situation.... dont get over 5.9 intrested. I think thats the highest they go. For sure I'm getting it $500 off already... The finance manager has nothing to do with sales... He's the credit guy... They can care less if HE is making any comission off me...

As for selling it, they've alraedy had 2 orders go sour with their showroom XR (wonder why, with all the miles and paint scuffs)...

This is going to be their 3rd one if they're not careful...

Obviously they want to make more off financing, but how many people actually finance through dealers and not banks? The intrest rates at dealers unless they're doing a rebate / low apr isn't going to beat a bank you've been dealing with for a long time... They won't make squat off those people either...

I'm asking for another $200 off which they can do because like I said they offered me $100 off for the showroom junker already... They know they made me wait longer than expected and I CAN cancle the order... This is definately not good on the fleet manager's record nor anyone else's heh...

Dealers have tons of trucks / cars, they are in the business to sell, not reject offers... The same can be said "if they don't sell me the truck someone else wil" and why not make a few $$$ off my instead of letting me out the door and lose any potnetial profit? Them selling a truck for a bit less won't ever haunt them since once the truck is out the door it's like they never had it... If you don't work them (like most of you guys are paying MSRP and not waiting) then you put the ball in their court... bottom line, you want the truck buy it. if you want a deal on it go buy a prerunner, i would think your extra 500 off, which hasnt happened, and if the same happens to you as me it wont, youd be better off just getting the truck for sticker. and i dont think i could get a better loan through a bank either, but driving uninsured isnt very smart, you already saved your how many hundred not having a car. get the truck, you wont regret it, your talking 200 out of 26k here.......
