I think Pip means, build a sheet metal bed floor.

But seriously, pimp an X, bag a non-X.

well any 05 at that. I think toyota is going to regret the hole bed thing. Who knows!

Well they didn't design the bed so the truck could be bagged. They designed it so it wouldn't rust out in the real world.

This is true yes, but even then it's still having issues.

as far as the bed you could reinforce it some how to make it sturdier but if you plan on B/D it then that a new story you will have to make a new bed.

You remember seeing that picture of tha ugly ass X-Runner at the SEMA show that was black, yellow and what ever?

I think that had air bag suspension on it. I remember looking in the bed and it had one of those bed rugs and some air tanks and a compressor back there. To what extent it was "bagged" I can't remember. I just took a quick look and got out of there before I got sick.

It can be bagged! If you had to either cut a hole in the floor or BD the bed its would be an easy task. For cutting a hole and then making it strong again I would run angle iron around the perimeter of the opening and use either 3M panel adhesive or flush mount rivets into the bed floor and surrounding angle. To BD it (this is only theoritical) disassemble the bed, section the box and using the 3M panel adhesive bond the top piece back on the reassemble the bed. In reality it should only take a little longer then a normal bed.. DONT BE SCARED!!!

I asked about the supercharger for the X and they told me at the auto show in san diego that it is going to come out in six months. Dont know how reliable that info was..... http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Tacofel

I would say that info was totally bogus. If you guys want a SC just go with a powerdyne unit or one from Wynjammer. You could even buy the wynjammer unit for the 3.4 and modify the mounting plate or make a new one. One major benefit is the units are centrifugal and I doubt that the TRD unit (if it even happens) will be centrifugal or innercooled at that.
Toyota has had that engine on the market for over a year now and nothing, so I think it will be some time. Generally if its market bound you would see pics within six months of its release date.

Blangkang

I just can't see why they wouldn't make a charger for the 4.0. Almost every engine yota has came out they have had something to boost HP.

Well it depends on what you like. I prefer a positive displacement roots blower.

I haven't seen the bed at all, but I'm guessing it's mostly plastic? Rip it all out and sheetmetal the whole inner bed. That's what I'd do anyway.
