Looks like my X is already going to hit the shop....X-Taco-Tarheel 01-05-2005, 08:41 AM Still runs and idles just fine but as of yestersday evening it now has a stutter in the engine (almost like a mild shake) when I kill the ignition. Only 4K on it and to the shop already? Who woulda thunk it? Very small and minor thing but it could become a bigger thing if I don't get it checked me thinks. Any ideas what it could be? I do have big plans for it though. I do drive it pretty hard at times but no harder than I ran my Ranger that it replaced and if it could take it then I expect the Taco to do so easily. I hate that rag. All goes back to my 94 Probe GT. They rated it the best car in it's class and it was a total piece of crap. I think it made Car & Drivers 10 best list that year as well....and before the negative Ford comments come flying in that car was mainly a Mazda. Until now every vehicle I have owned has been a blue oval and that was the only crappy one. I wanted a Lightning before I discovered the X in the Chicago auto show coverage. I think I did get the better truck of the two. On the original note, the stutter has deminished somewhat and I didn't even notice it this morning but I'll keep checking for it.
