what can the x-runner beat

new to the site whats up guys. just wanting to know what all the xrunner can beat from experience

i have an 03 dbl cab right now but freakin love the new x-runners but the dealerships here wont have any till late december early jan. Just wanna know some stories on what cars and trucks it can beat. and does anyone know about the optional s/c

No sc yet (TRD anyway), so it really isn't optional. Depending on who you ask, it may or may not ever exist. So if the dealer tells you they are right around the corner (like they told me), they are lying.

X-Runners pull pretty good Gs on sweeping curves, but smaller lighter vehicles (S-Runners or a std cab setup like an S) have an advantage with quick change of directions. Much also depends on the driver. It would be interesting to say the least. I'd like to take on an X on the twisties, but unfortunately the closest thing to twisties around here are the on-ramps. Now, an X-Runner woulen't have a prayer against my S in acceleration unless they start putting S/Cs or V8s in them.

well im mainly talking about everyday cars like those annoying ricers
and i heard about the 350 z . But did reviews say xr's can beat the Z in a race or just the skidpad with the .9 g's or something

Get a sports car? If not get the truck and run it yourself... What good does a post of someone saying they did 14.xx on the 1/4 do if you won't be able to do it?

It all comes down to who you're racing, and how you drive...

My S is pretty much stock and from the times I see the X is running I would like to see a race against my S I ran 15.6. It isn't retarted (actually thats a fav word for ochizan since he nailed me with one too HAHAH) so to speak... It's just something that no matter who answers it, it wouldn't stand true unless YOU can do it... Also, just because someone beat another person in another car, whos to say that they didn't miss a shift, or had engine problems?

I'm sure you already figured it out, but if you want to be a magazine racer... Then just wait till the mags get a hold of the XR and start putting some rubber to the pavement...

Everyone wonders what a properly launched XR will pull, but the light bed and abundant torque down low has made it pretty hard to get it done right... We did get a 15.5 confirmed posted thus far, so go with that until someone gets a lower #...

it wouldnt be sweet at all.. it would be annoying for the fact that you would spend 3K plus on a turbo system thwat offers minimal hp gains ...25-30 if your lucky and nothign bu turbo lag which i'd rather be slow and n/a than have major turbo lag its just annoying!!

You need coffee dude hahah....

BTW, a minimal gain turbo will have little to no turbo lag because the turbo should be relatively small and 4.0L worth of exhaust should get that bad boy spooling in no time... Big turbos with bad designs will have lag... It all depends on how much you want to gain and how much low end you want to give up....

People who put on turbo and worry about turbo lag are the same type of people who buy a sports car and worry about gas mileage...

well yea plus sts has proof that it is better than the trd s/c with dyno sheets and also says no turbo lag....its all good ochizon and yea i dont have one yet but plan on it as soon as they get here

well if you want to know some things you can beat a impala tried to race me and i played with him in 4th gear at about 3000rpms and shifted to 3rd and blew past him so they are no problem and then i raced with a Mercedes Kompresser coupe. He pulled next to me and i was crusin in 4th on the street and we started to go at it and he pulled away at first but at the high end of third i broke even with him and stayed with him untill we ran out of room so i don't know how i would sand up to him past 4th.

Not to get off topic but where did you buy your truck? Crown??? Also where in the 909 are you?
