Depends on the shop. Call around different shops in your area, and see if any are willing to beat out another shop's price.

$80 is nothing. I paid around $500 for my lift.

how the hell could there be that much difference in price?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that my lift was a bit more involved than a spacer lift.

But $80 isn't bad at all.

we're talking install. so you're telling me there's no way in hell I should pay more than $200 to have my spacer/aal's and diff drop installed?

umm... nobody said that. especially when you live in alaska. i would think finding a good qualified shop is harder than in so cal.

honestly i wouldnt trust a shop to do the install. the spacer needs to go on straight and in a certain way and the shops are just lazy sometimes. a friend and i took a coil assembly and spacer to a shop and i ended up redoing it all beause they didnt do it right and my friend lost out on like $50.

but the shop only put the spacers onthe coils? How much do you think, ballpark, it'd cost to put the whole lift on the truck?

i walked into 4WP once and asked... they quoted $120 for the install and $120 for the mandated alignment... dont have a front diff, so no idea what they would charge for that... anyprice u can find cheaper than them is a decent deal i suppose...

like i said earlier, the shop i went to charged me $80 for full install... i didnt touch my truck at all, but i did stand over their shoulders at the spring compressor to guide them on the spacer install... once they put the truck back together, i had them do the alignment for another $40...

when installing a spacer lift the hard part is getting the spacer ON to your coil/shock assembly. if you're not confident with your skills then this is the part i would take in and get installed. you'll only be wasting money by having them do the entire truck. to get the coil assembly off the truck you need to do the follow:
jack up truck
remove wheel/tire
unbolt three bolts on top of coil assembly
unbolt one bolt on bottom of coil assembly
then its OFF!

i would just take off the coil assemblies and try to find a shop that will put the spacers on for like $50 and then go put the spacer and coils back on yourself. its seriously very easy. then go find a shop that will install your AAL. but you'll save a lot of money just bringing in the coil/shock combo rather than your whole truck.

ok dude seriously, a couple people have told you already that IT VARIES FROM PLACE TO PLACE!!!! best bet, is to call up a buncha shops around where you live, then go for the cheapest one if you wanna save cash....prices of services are subject to the laws of supply and demand....it's probably cheaper for us to get it done than for you in alaska, so therefore our prices don't apply to your lift....So get off the net, go call some shops, take pics of afterwards cuz spacer lifted trucks are sooooo rare, and post em up....

haha pics of spacer lifts are rare...hehe good one!

seriously though I think that some people forget the phone is faster than the internet.....hmmm

But I would say try to install yourself, then take it in if you dont feel like you can unbolt 8 bolts and re-bolt them, get som spring compressors, pinch the springs together enough to get the spacer on, then place the coilover back into its stock location.

go to advanced autoparts, buy one of those cheap coil spring compressors for 30 bucks, or buy 2 if your scared of coil springs. get a friend thats not lazy, find a place that has a vise, compress the springs and put the spacers on, put the springs back on, then put blocks or shackles in the back, or get [censored] faced one night and try to put in some add-a-leaves, they are a blast to play with.
