Hey all, Anyone down for June 29th at the drags. This is not the meet, but any one is welcome to come down and race, chill and check out some sic rides. INACOMA Should have some news for the Next big meet later down the road, I don't want to confuse anyone. Anyways we could all meet at the track or at a certain location before hand and then roll up. I want any one racing or not thats wants to have a good time to roll so don't worry if your not racing, you will still have a blast, trust me! Here are the directions from everywhere in cali!

From LA, OC, SF Take all routes to Interstate 10 Freeway East Bound. 2 exits past the Interstate 15 Freeway in San Bernardino County is Cherry Ave. Exit Cherry Ave North which is left. Head up about 1 mile and you will see the speedway on your left, can't miss it. Should take about an hour form there

From SD, Take all routes to Interstate 15 North. Take all the way till you hit he Interstate 10 Freeway inwhich you are going to take East bound. You are going to exit at Cherry Ave which is the second exit once you get on the 10 freeway so stay in the right lane. Exit Cherry Ave North which is left. Head up about 1 mile and you will see the speedway on your left, can't miss it. Should take about 1 1/2 - 2 hours form there!

Tech Inspections starts at 7:00 Get there early to avoid crowds. $10 to get in and $10 to race. So $20 total to race. Sorry for the long post!

PIMPINTACOMA
06-17-2002, 08:17 AM
Sam i wouldn't say beer though. If they see a beer in your hand at the speedway they will freak. That would be crazy a bunch of drunk tacoma hitting the walls swurving down the track. hahaha
I'll be their at that time to meet with everyone. Hopefully we have a good turnout of tacomas. It is a long ass drive for me though, so I might be a few minutes late.=)

srunnerguy
06-17-2002, 08:20 AM
Long, your closer than me. I was thinking of geting wasted and running j/k Anyways, no beer I guess. We will just have to enjoy it sober, no problem here!

Same here I think im gonna go to the dealer tomorrow and try to finance a blower for my POS. See what it will hit in the quarter. Any one ran their 2.4L with a blower yet? What did it run?

srunnerguy
06-20-2002, 06:48 AM
Good luck. You could probably get the blower, lsd and clutch. I would definately go for it. I have to wait until I can do It!

PIMPINTACOMA
06-20-2002, 06:55 AM
Everyone is saying that no dealer carries it though. That would suck. I guess I will call longo today if anyone can get it they caN

srunnerguy
06-20-2002, 07:00 AM
If anything go down there anyways and refinace so that you can have it on order and get it as soon as they come in. Longo isn't going to have one in stock because they don't stock them. You probaly have to wait until they come in or ship from the buena park (TRD Location)

PIMPINTACOMA
06-20-2002, 07:06 AM
They are in Buena Park, I will drive over their if thats what it takes. It is a need for speed, like a drug. But I love it though. Oh yeah I think i am getting off work early today so I can pick up peoples parts from crossroads. A/C button, donut spare, TPS and something else I forgot.

Pimpintacoma, I remember you now from the last time (March 9th). You have bags on yours, right? You are definitely quick for a single cab. Didn't you run a 16.1, or something like that. I'll be there again next week.

srunnerguy
06-21-2002, 08:28 AM
He is definately a fast Taco, when we were there June 9th he ran a low 16 as well. I can't wait till next weekend! Idid a 15.8 last time I am hopeing to do much better, I felt I didn't doas well as I could!

CASlim
06-21-2002, 08:31 AM
Remeber to calculate the altitude in as well. You will definitely do better the next time around. Each run I reacted faster and had better times.

srunnerguy
06-21-2002, 08:33 AM
And the fact that by noon it was already 100 degrees! Your air box mod should really help out. We should race each other (grudge Match) Srunner Vs SR5 V6. What do ya think!

I'm always up for some fun. My concentration this time will be on the Civic SI's, so I can shut them up for good. http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif It's all in good fun though. My Dad is bringing someone from Thousand Oaks, and he's trailering it in. I think it's a Plymoth RoadRunner. Hopefully, he will come!

It's definitely hot out there. It's supposed to be cooler this coming week. Cross your fingers.

The actual elevation for the track is:

Start/Finish Line 1121.27 ft above sea level

I found this on CAspeedway's website. What would we calculate for time difference at this elevation?

CASlim
06-21-2002, 08:48 AM
by the way, was it crowded last time? How many runs did you guys get in?

slamdtaco
06-21-2002, 09:15 AM
At our track here in south FL, Moroso, they have racing from 6pm-2am once a month. Besides that it's usually 6-11every wed. and fri. for test and tune and sat. for bracket racing for points. I got 10 runs one night from 6-11. Almost no one was there. Good luck guys and be sure to post your times.

RevHard6
06-21-2002, 09:21 AM
Wow. 10 runs, that's great. I can get about 4-5 here at Sacramento Raceway on Wed nights.

slamdtaco
06-21-2002, 09:52 AM
our norm is also about 5. I need to go on a Fri. when they do the 6-2, guess I need a new car/truck first.

srunnerguy
06-21-2002, 09:59 AM
Sundays get more crowded than Saturdays and i got 3 runs in but I could have posibbly got 7-8 runs. I got kicked out of my 2nd run because I was wearing shorts and then I left at 3:00 pm and they wer still racing for a few more hours!

06-21-2002, 10:43 AM

This time next week I will run 15's or I will crash it into the wall. j/k two thousands geesh that is like nuthing. But we will see this time I am going balls out speed shifting and breaking my trans.

CASlim
06-21-2002, 01:19 PM
You're one crazy guy! http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif It was the rims that threw me off. But, when I saw the pic of you and srunnerguy racing, I notice that you had your front bags lifted high. You were the only one there last time that did that.

PIMPINTACOMA
06-21-2002, 01:50 PM

I drive my truck 120 miles a day and have had bags for two Years. It depends on how your work is done. I dont know about racing

CASlim
06-24-2002, 07:17 AM
The only bags that I might be using are sand bags http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif j/k. Actually, it might not be a bad idea.

srunnerguy
06-24-2002, 09:53 AM
Leave the spare in and the sand bags should help with traction!

PIMPINTACOMA
06-24-2002, 12:09 PM
Naw bags and racing are just fine. I race anything and everything that comes up next to me. I've been like that for about 3 years. I drive 78 miles per day to work and back and i'm always cruising the streets and race all the time. No problems. One day at the races on my last run I am gonna hit the front all the way up when I launch and have a friend tape it so that I do a 2 foot wheel stand. At least it will look fast.hahaha
