I was planning on buying a flush bed cover in the near furture, and i was wondering if they just bolt right on or whatever, or do you have to so some custom shaping to make them fit right?

checkmate fx tonneau is what you have seen. very good flush fit tonneau but it is not totally watertight, but is a very good fiberglass tonneau

i dont think any are completely watertight right? some bedrug or marine grade carpet would be a good idea

Are the sprint ones water tight? I know someone that has a cover, but it has some weird looking metal strips around the top , i dont want that , any brand suggestions besides sprint?

sprint doesnt have metal strips around it. sprint is not water tight. however a 22 year old woman thats still virgin is water tight

I have a checkmate tonneau.........I have not had any problems with it leaking. It fits very nicely. You do need to drill in some small sheetmetal screws in the front to bolt the cover on.

does the checkmate like contour to the curves on the back of the bed?
My only concern is having to shape it to fit.
