ok i feel stupid sayin this but what do the numbers in the tire description really mean. Like235/45r17. my understanding is of course the rim is a 17 the height is the 45 above the rim and the width is the 235. Am i an idiot http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

not completly the first number is the width of the tire in millimeters [245] the middle number is the height of the sidewall of the tire. I BELIEVE the middle number is the percent of the width of the tire that is the sidewall. So if your width is 245 and ur sidewall is 45? then the sidewall is 45 percent of the width[245]
and the last number is the diameter[size] of the tire.
