bousqen,

I have not figured out how much my S-Runner worth yet. I will do some research today. Do you have any idea? I see you are in Costa Mesa. I live in Irvine. You are local. I will post price and photos soon. You are welcome to see the truck yourself. Let me know.
BTW, the truck is black.

Thank you for your interest.

I'd shoot for atleast $14k. They are getting harder to find, and you have the most popular mods.
Good luck. Hope to see some pics of it.

Thank you for your great suggestion, Yodaforce.
If people won't pay for the mods, I will remove the S/C and re-install to my 1996 4Runner.
I will get some photos uploaded soon.

Anyone interested in an SRunner in particular will appreciate the mods. It's the "normal" people that are just looking for a cheap little Tacoma that will want it for nothing and not have any clue about what those mods are good for. Stay away from those people. Lol.
I can only hope that you can sell it to someone who can appreciate it for what it is.
I saw an SRunner on CL a while back that had a ladder rack and was used by a roofing contractor.:doah:What a shame.

For 14k I could get an x-runner from any dealership with less miles. These are getting rare but it's still an 11 yr old truck with over 100k miles. A fair price to me would be $7-8k.

Any chance you are interested in trades? I have a streetbike and prerunner ranger I'm looking to get rid of.

XRunners are bigger, heavier, and slower (unless you dump more into it). You're missing the point. They only made around 7k of the SRunners. XRunners are everywhere. Even in my little dump town, there are like 10 of them running around, and I'm the only SR. I'm still faster, and a few of the XR guys have already told me they would rather have the SR, but they could not find one when they were buying.

One day the SRunner will be on "Chasing Classic Cars". Lol

bousqen,

The truck used to be my son's who is a mechanical engineer. I was planning to keep this rare and one of a kind truck for my grandson who hasn't born yet. But since I now have too many vehicles around, I have decided to sell the S-Runner to someone who would appreciate its value and all the work we have put into it. Without all the mods, the stock 2001 S-Runner in good condition like mine should worth around 9K. So to sell it at 10K, I will remove S/C and leave the rest goodies on it. I don't need trade.

Thanks.

I think your over selling it as "rare and one of a kind"
It's not a hemi cuda, its a pickup with a v6 that has a rear swaybar and better tires..
It was more of a marketing gimmick, you could get the same engine/transmission setup from 2000 and and older.. It just didn't have the 16" wheels, fender flares, boulstered seats and swaybar..

Not rare, more of a "limited"
Rare is something highly searched for or worth well over double it's orignal value in my opinion..

I respect and appreciate your opinion.
What I meant rare and one of a kind is the fact that my truck's combination of mods and add-on's may be unique and hard to find. That's my marketing statement for the product I am selling.
Do you want to buy my truck?

You will probably get 10-12k for it with the right buyer and if the truck is mint.
The fully built truck stoner bought was around 15-16k and had 30,000 miles on it with a built motor, 4 wheel BBK, volk rims, etc. and it was an 04'. The supratruck is only around 24k i believe.
GLWS! I love s-runners...

The

He'll have it for quite a while before he finds the right buyer at that price range..
High mileage modified for performance vehicles are a tough sell because sooner than later, your going to have to throw some money at it if the timing belt, water pump, clutch hasn't been done yet.

Just saying.

More exposure will work the best for the sale, find more sites and post it up..

True. Most of us are here because we already HAVE a Tacoma. It's like me trying to sell my Airstream on the Airstream forum.
Not saying that it won't sell here. I bought mine here. :waytogo:

Just a subtle reminder that not everyone thinks the SR's are not worth much:

"UPDATE

After sending in the receipts for the aftermarket improvements, the new valuation report for the SR is now $17, 221.25."

...as stated by "Soundofmind" in his recent post regarding the insurance evaluation of his totaled SR.

Beautiful truck, good luck with the sale. Unfortunately, even with the mods it will still not be likely to net much over 11K. One thing a lot of people don't realize is that mods devalue a vehicle, especially a rare one. The TRD charger however does not count as a mod as it was a desirable factory option. My two cents . . . list it at 13K and don't let them talk it down more than 10.5-11K.

Thank you for your suggestion. How about sell it without supercharger? Will that make it easier to sell?

Just saw this. If the majority of potential buyers you have are non-enthusiasts, the supercharger really has no added value. The best option in that case is to sell the truck without it and sell the supercharger separately. However, if most of the potential buyers are car guys/enthusiasts, the supercharger will add value and increase likelihood of sale. Take notice of your demographic and act accordingly, or choose one and design your listings to appeal to the target market.

So far I posted on all Toyota related forums that I can find. Custom Taco is the only forum that have replies such as yours. Non of other forums has a single reply for weeks. I guess most people are not interested in such unique truck. I better remove the supercharger if I can find someone to do it in SoCal area.

You can probably get $1500 - 2000 for the s/c and fuel mods, if you decide to part it out.
