Also, does anyone happen to know what other years may have compatible bumper with a 2000 stepside tacoma?

From my knowledge there is no such thing as a chrome stepside bumper. They were all colormatched. Someone correct me if im wrong.

yes, i noticed that the only available oem bumper was painted, which is funny because the it has a chrome bumper now (recently bought the truck), well chrome and rust.

the bumpers were chrome, but the step-side corners were colour matched
and zooom, i PM'd ya back
