Ricky (MtbTaco) should be coming up I-95 from Springfield VA Friday evening around 6pm or so. So he should arrive here by 9pm. Boosterror may be convoying with him :shrug:

I'm expecting to arrive around the same time. Sorry, Mak, but as it looks now I can't find a route that would swing by your area without putting me an extra 2 hours out. I still need to go at it with MapPoint in more detail though.

Mak, if you shoot I-81 all the way to Carlisle PA, then take the turnpike east to the Morgantown PA exit, then take Route 23 East to Route 724. It will take you about 10 hours from Knoxville to here.. Thats the shortest route i know of..

My advice.. If it ain't broke... ummmm.. Seriously, if it starts easy, does not miss, gets decent gas mileage. I would'nt mess with it. However, on a trip like you are about to embark on. I would suggest the following for that "just in case" you need it.
(1) can of fix a flat.. just in case.
(1) gal of water or pre-mix anti freeze. If nothing else, a jug.. just in case.
Make sure your spare is aired and that your jack and lug wrench are in the truck.. just in case.
Some duct tape and electrical tape.. just n case.
A handful of various fuses.. just n case.
Other than that, a cell phone and charger. A CB radio is always cool on a road trip. (Truckers love to talk so they stay awake plus it alerts you to the cops locations). And lastly:
A good road Atlas, in case of an accident that forces the closure of the Interstate or other highway. And, just n case the GPS decides to quit working..

so ive decided to do my to-do list
im getting crappy gas mileage and crappy performance so i figure its time anyway especially with such a big trip coming....the biggest trip my trucks ever made:D

Wow.. That's sad.. By the time I was 17 I had driven from Arkansas to Jacksonville Fla, and Arkansas to Bremerton, WA. And with you talking about a trip under 1000 miles one way being your longest.. You really need to get out more often, there is a whole world outside of Tennessee. Hmmmmm.. Kids these days..
