I just got my 10" whiplash kit in and I am going to put it in this sunday. I am just curious of how many people on here have them, and how good are they? Also if you have one are they difficult to put in or are they pretty simple, and did you have to get any new hoses or anything? I will post some pics when i get it finished. Thanks for your help.

Well I have heard from many people from here and from TTORA that the Whiplash setups are bad, I really cant tell you anything else pertaining to it being the quality or how it rides but people just plain say that it is not worth getting if you want to off road much

i don't have any experience with whiplash's products, but here is what you need to go along with that much lift: extended brake lines (stainless), extension on your brake proportioning valve, some very very long rear shocks like 18" stroke Bilsteins etc., and possibly a rear sway bar for stiffness in the tail of the truck.
to run the tires (38s, 40s?) you'll need to regear both differentials to 5.29:1. i would also invest in some heavy duty CV axles from CV Unlimited. high performance brake rotors, pads, and shoes will help too. A 60" Hi-Lift jack with a wheel lift is mandatory so you can get that beast off the ground to fix stuff when you aren't at home.
i'm sure i left some stuff out but that gives you an idea.
one more thing, don't roll that sh!t in tight corners http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

i installed the whiplash kit on my truck. there is a lot of things you have to cut. You have to get your high pressure steering line lengthened. The only thing I don t like is the 5.5 in blocks. And it rides rough but who cares. You will need to have your rear driveshaft lengthened and you will have to make a rear porportioning braket. The steering lengthing tube is the worst thing becuase i cut my steering shaft connecter to high and the spot where it clamps rubs my frame. You will need to notch your crossmember so the front driveshaft don't hit. Hopefully they give you directions becuase i didn t get any. if you have any questions about anything i can help.

this kit run me about $2600.00 and that included the coilovers. The guy told me the kit usually goes for 3000.00 but he says he gave me a discount. http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
