either way, it'll look good. just on a hunch, i bet the grille surround is already chrome. i personally wouldn't add more chrome, especially to a silver truck. but billet would look great. grillecraft has a great selection, by far the best imo. i've been thinking of getting their black mesh grille. i just don't want the grillecraft badge on it since i'm going w/ the murdered out badgeless theme. but there is a great thread somewhere on this site where a guy just chopped out the 2 center bars of the grille and fiberglassed the parts where the middle was and used a black mesh and put it on the backside of the grille. it takes some patience to do that work, but i think he said he only spent $40 on the whole mod. so if you want to go the cheap and rewarding way, then you might wanna look into doing that mod instead of buying an aftermarket grille

did you just turn 16 or something? man i wish my parents bought me a car when i turned 16. i didn't even get my first car until i was 18 and i had to buy my mom's old car off of her. it was a 2000 chevy malibu. anyway, you have a cool dad. don't exploit his generosity. my advice is to work hard until you have the cash for it and then get your dad to put it on a credit card and then just pay your dad all that cash so he can pay off his credit card bill right away. everyone wins here! you get a light bar w/ lights! you help him w/ his credit! and you've learned the valuable lesson of how hard work will get you things!
