Looks like it would make a good race truck. Maybe for NASA (national auto sport association), or auto-x or something. Solid engine and chassis, but won't have to worry about body damage. Pretty sweet, but kinda sad to see an S go down like that.

Just got home from picking her up. Spent the last 7 hrs driving and before that 12 hrs on a train to get up there but it was worth it. She's in worse shape than you can even tell from the pics but I have family/friends in the body biz who will help straighten her body panels and lay some fresh paint.

Its actually pretty wild how it worked out, I found the listing before I saw you posted it here. I actually missed the end of the auction and figured I'd hit him up anyway incase the original bidders backed out. The high bidder was from Cali and sure enough backed out, he offered it the second highest bidder who never got back to him either so he told me it was mine if I wanted it!
I figure a Danshood with the x-runner scoop, a hard flush tonneau, relocate the rear tailgate handle before the body work then toss in an LSD and enjoy owning a pretty rare truck for a while.
Plus I have my '01 Doublecab 4x4 for the winter (I have a 6" fabtech lift sitting here waiting to be installed).
