Yeah its cool now. It just gets me worried, I don't want it to turn in to a big problem or something.

this use to happen to me. There reason is that your fuel filter is clogged... this is what I was told.. after changing it was fine.. actually what have you done with your taco... it could be many reasons... usually timing... but for the 4 banger we have a chain time...i dunno about the V6

do you have any custom gauges put in or a tach? that could be the reason.. if it is hooked up wrong it will mess with the iginition, my truck did that once cause of a tachometer that a shop installed wrong.

actually they messed up my white face iniglow and my speedometer does not work, maybe its cause of that.

maybe if those gauges are grounded out wrong it will mess with all your controls.... how long ago did you get indiglos?

hmmm unless they messed with the wires going to the ignition or your ecu then that would cause your truck to suddenly just shutdown. My truck did the same thing but that is cause they messed with the coil packs and they grounded my wires wrong under my dash.... Have you looked at the wiring they did? what else have you put in your truck that has to do with wiring? check all wires to make shure one isn't stripped and touching metal..

usually when you put on face guages the needles get thrown out of wack and you have to try to recalibrate them again...this has happened to me while installing indiglos for civics, accords, and so on. you just have to be patient....for the stalling part..does the truck idle low?

dretaco

Yes, it does idle low usually.

i'm thinking it maybe the fuel filter...or it can be the electronic idler control on the throttlebody...sometime the ecu gets throw out of whack....and the controller runs for like 400 bucks...so try changing the fuel filter and see if it helps...if not you might have to get toyota to service it. what year is your taco?

mine is a 96.5, this problem only happens when i really push it and speed and then come to stops.

how does you engine sound? are your injectors dirty? is your air filter clean? check all wiring, clean filter, change gas filter, check all the basics that make your truck run.... but check all wiring as well
