I have a 1996 Taco 2wd and I am looking to see if someone has 3" drop leaf springs they are willing to sell locally. If the price is right I will pick them up asap.

If anyone knows where I can get 3" drop springs locally at a performannce shop that would also help.

Please do not delete this thread or move it since no one looks in the WTB classifieds.

Thanks

Have you tried Trick Trucks (http://www.tricktrucks.com/)? They are mostly an offroad shop, but they could probably help you out. They have shops in Chantilly and Winchester.

Make sure the springs you end up looking at (or getting) are for 95.5-97, because they are longer for 98-04. by about 4 inches. Thought I knew of some till I saw you had a 96.

Have you pulled the center leaf out of your stock pack yet?

No I have not. I have heard that the ride is not very good so I don't really want to do this.

Why, is this what you did Brett, I thought you just had 4" blocks with a taper?

I think that I have finally decided that I am going to try doing a BJF and with my existing 2" coil springs with a 215/35/18 tire and 3" drop leaf springs with a 2" block with my existing 225/45/18 tire. What do you think?

Maybe I can get you to help me out since I will be buying the 3" drop leaf springs, 215/35/18 tires and the parts for the BJF at the end of this week.

Do you think I should buy these 3" drop leaf springs off this vendor on ebay? (I would ask for leaf springs that fit a 1996 Toyoto Tacoma)
