Where can I get my wheels bored out?

I got some wheels off a friend's rx7 and the bolt patteren is correct, but the center hub bore is just a bit too small. Where would I take them to get them bored out a little? How will they go about doing this? How much will it cost?

buy a dremel do it yourself. then after your done boring it out with your dremel you have a cool new toy to put in your toolbox. the dremel wil come in handy at other times it well worth the money you would invest in it.

Re: Where can I get my wheels bored out?

I tried using my dad's dremel last night, but it weasn't really working too well, his bits were getting worn down in no time. Was I doing something wrong? Which bits should I go buy to do this?

Take them to Stockton Tire and Wheel. It's about 30 minutes from Modesto and it's off I-5. That is where I went as was very satisfied with them.

Re: Where can I get my wheels bored out?

OK all done! whew! I went to a machine shop, got an estimate, and as I was leaving, this guy that worked there gave me his number and address and told me he could do it at home. So, I go to his house and the guy has a freaking $10,000 milling machine in his shop out back. digital measuring and perfect centering and I was even able to leave the tires on it. Long story short, he bored them out perfectly and charged me $40.00 total! I gave him $50.00 and thanked him a million times. The guy was totally cool. Offered me beers out of his fridge, introduced me to his wife and new baby daughter, let me use his jacks and stuff to test fit, and more...

Wow, what luck. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions once again. I will be posting up some pics very soon. Thanks again CustomTaco guys, you are all awesome.

Re: Where can I get my wheels bored out?

You actually get your wheels bored out, not your tires. You need this if the centerbore of the wheel is too small for the wheel to fit on your vehicle. You take a Dremel or something similar and bore out metal enough to where the wheel will fit on the vehicle.
