Tires rubbing

I put a 3 inch lift on my 2003 tacoma 4x4 sr5 and put on 32 inch bf goodrich all terrain tires with 16 pro comp rims w/ 3 1/2 inch backspacing and they rub when i turn my wheel hard to either side. What can i do to fix the rubbing. I grinded the inside finder as far as i can without damaging my taco. Any suggestions?

Re: Tires rubbing

new wheels with 4" backspace...

3.5 is a lot... 3.75 would have been close enough, but at 3.5 you have no way out with that tire size...

Re: Tires rubbing

a three inch would do for the clearing the fenders, are you rubbing the frame as well, probably not with that backspace.

Re: Tires rubbing

yes you can, as long as your not jumping your truck. I have a 1" bl. on a 2.5" lift. see if you can get away with a 1" bl.
you can put a 3" bl on a 3" suspension lift if you wanted to.

I was running my friends 31x11.50 LTB's on 15x10 wheels with 3 5/8" backspacing with the current set up (3.5" lift") and I didn't rub while off roading.

Or, like Mike said, get new wheels with about 4" backspacing.
