Transformers car Bumblebee "1977 Chevy Camaro"

I was watching the Transformers movie and thought the
older 77 Camaro was much cooler than that 2009 Concept Camaro..

I see alot of rusted out Camaros like the 77 around here for cheap and thought
it would be cool to do a clone car in its rough around the edges styling..

In the spring time I'll start doing some exploring..
I have a GM 350 crate engine with 25K on it..

Re: Transformers car Bumblebee "1977 Chevy Camaro"

I had the Darth Vader version which was the first to have the bumper hidden behind the valance. It was a 79, black on black and lowered all around with 295/5015's and 195's on front on polished Centerlines and tucking in the rear. That thing sat saaaweet! I drove that thing into the ground and kept it clean as hell! oh, it had a posi I put in from a Trans Am. my folks bought it new, I put a stock spoiler on the rear too, and debadged it. My bro is still driving that fvcker!! new motor of course.

67-69 and the 71 split bumper ruled it! I'd need to learn to work my scanner....plus I lost all my old pics in a storage unit I owed on!

When will the production model of the new Camaro be shown? It comes
out in spring and they are still showing off pre-production photos.

Re: Transformers car Bumblebee "1977 Chevy Camaro"

I saw one on the freeway in mid fall with Michigan manufacturers plates on it..

I think the scale of the wheel to wheel well ratio looks way off..

just go to chevy.com... the current production pictures are there..

If I were to go the retro way, I'd have a Challenger and see if I could get 15" rally wheels to wrap around the rotors..

Those pics at chevy.com say pre-production model shown and production model may vary.
