Homelink from 4Runner into Tacoma

I have an '07 Tacoma, and have noticed that the '07 4Runner has a homelink system build into the overhead console right between the map lights.

I would like to install this into my Tacoma, but am interested to know if anybody has done this, and if so, was the Tacoma pre-wired for it, part numbers, etc.

Thanks.

is it the device that allows you to program 3 remotes (such as garage and gate controls) into it so it can take the place of those remotes?

You could buy a mirror that has it built in or, go on ebay get a visor or console that has it and transfer it to the truck.

Couldn't find a part number but its a $125 option to get on the 4runner so, just go to the dealer, say you have a 4runner and would like to buy the homelink system.

Re: Homelink from 4Runner into Tacoma

I don't think the Tacomas are prewired for the homelink since it is not an option. On my 05 4Runner it is plug and play. It cost me $80 from 1sttoyotaparts.com. It's the plastic piece for the maplights and sunglass holder. Only thing I can think of is getting a rearview mirror with the homelink buttons.

Do you happen to have a part # or picture of it?
