bucket seats in replace of bench

In my single cab I have the single bench seat. no 40/60 split. and it is time i move towards bucket style seats. my questions are.

there is 4 mounting bolts currently being used. are the other 4 pre existing just under the carpet? I want somthing that will simply bolt in.

Where is a good place to find lightly used seats... possibly maybe a trade?
is there a list or guide that shows me what will bolt in with outta modify rails and such? toyotas pretty standard/ universal?\

Take a look at the tech section. It's pretty useful.

In terms of finding seats. You can always hit up a junk yard find some bucket and have them re-upholstered. I just got lucky earlier tonight and found some from a 98 that are pretty much brand new

Re: bucket seats in replace of bench

Check my OEM seat transplant article in the Tech Section.

Yes - the additional 4 bolt holes are either (a) pre-drilled and plugged or (b) pre-molded into the floor / hump and only need to be drilled out.

Nothing fits a Tacoma 'as is' other than Tacoma seats from the same generation. You can get up to 3 out of 4 bolts to line up with certain other Toyota seats (some 4Runners, for example), and the degree of 'free-form tweaking' increases rapidly when you go to non-Toyota seats.
