Arospeed Front-mount cold air intake system...

If anybody out there rigs one these Honda intakes up to their Tacoma, let me know, I'm interested in the results.

i think those front mounted intake filters would look pretty nice if you have an aftermarket front bumper like the SW Drift Kit...basically..anything that has a "big mouth" style front. I was thinking about it but i still haven't found the right front bumper. I like the street weapon drift front bumper but i'm still debating.

i was looking at that too. but youd have to have the intake pipe custom made to fit the tacoma, and then buy the front mount intake filter. the civic one is bent in ways that wont fit a taco. i have an aem intake though

Re: Arospeed Front-mount cold air intake system...

I've been looking at the Aerospeed ones for a while myself. Would love to mount one up on my '98 Tacoma, as there isn't much cold air flowing into the engine compartment. Definitely looks doable. All that probably is needed is the actual tubing to be custom bent/fabricated for our trucks. Let's give this some good thought, and see what we can come up with.

my friend with a 92 sentra has the front mounted Arospeed intake. He had a shop customize his intake piping to fit. looks and sounds sweeeet.

What does the cold air intake look like? Why do you need a big opening at the bumper?

actually....the intake cone for the intake system we're talking about looks like a front mounted intercooler. the intake pipe leads to the front of the bumper and the intake cone sits in the center of the bumper. check out the site http://www.arospeed.com/

Just saw the picture. That's tight. What happens when it rains?

looks like a mini intercooler. Dont know about that one, i can hear it now..."poser"

Gotta wonder how well it performs tho. I think it comes with a clear shield for when it rains too
