After mud stuck, steering wheel shakes.

Last weekend I went to wheel in a dry river near home with a friends. After a while I got stuck for the very first time in my taco. The mud was very very sticky. It was very difficult to remove some with a shovel, even remove it from the shovel! First attempt to get unstuck failed.
Second, a friend tried to pull me out with his samurai suzuk 4x4: failed
Third, a friend with a dakota v8, 4x4: failed
Fourth, both, dakota and samurai: failed
Fifth, an '86 Ford f-350 diesel 4x4: failed
Sixth, with the winch of the ford: failed (the ford was moved with the winch to my truck!!!)
Seventh, A tractor: Failed, tractor got stuck.
Eight, with a Caterpillar excavator: DONE!!! and the tractor was unstuck too.

My rear bumper was totaled. The CAT had to rise my truck and then pulled out because it was too stuck to the mud.

Then all of us went home buy my truck at the pavement at speeds of 45mph started to shake!. I lowered a bit and the shake went away too, but then I speed up and the shake from the steering wheel came back. What in the hell could happened? A friend told me that the sway bar(s) have mud and I have to clean them at a car wash with a lot of pressure.
Other friend told me that something could be damaged when the truck was pulled.

Any ideas or similar experiences are welcome. Here are some pics of what happened.

Thanks

In love with 4x4 Tacomas

Re: After mud stuck, steering wheel shakes.

you should probably start with cleaning the wheels, of all the mud, that could very possibly fix it

Yep, start with cleaning out the wheels, you should probably remove your skid plate as well, that thing is like a shovel for collecting mud. Then get a tow hitch with a recovery point to save your next bumper!

Oh man that was a good one! I learned a long time ago to stay away from the cracked mud pits, they'll get you every time. The stuff is like brown whipped cream under the cracks. You probably have mud stuck in the vents in the rotors, it's a place people don't think of. Time for a Beefed bumper.

Re: After mud stuck, steering wheel shakes.

hmm...never thought about mud in the rotor vents, so might wanna just pull off each wheel, get it clean as well as the rotors, hub mounting surface of the wheel, and wheel wells just for the sake of cleaning
