I have a 98 all stock. I want a wider look with flares and side markers. I know I'm most likely gunna have to cut holes for the markers. But my question is, should I go with 4x4 fenders(I heard they are wider than my current ones) or should I go with like 2000+ fenders(they are wider too). I know that if I got newer year fenders I need new corner lights. Would my stock 98 headlights work with newer corners? I've got a lot of questions and need some help!
The 2001-04 Fenders have brackets welded in to work with the 01-04 headlamps. If you are not doing a complete 01-04 frontal conversion and wish to utilize as much of your original frontal components while achieving the width, use the fenders that came on the 4x4 / Pre-Runner 6 lugs up to 2000. These were also used on 2000 5 lugs
Thanks a lot! Can I use fender flares with either of those? And any year pre runner fenders before 2000? And would I have to get either new corner lights or headlights?
Yes, 2000 and earlier 4x4 or Pre-runner fenders. The TRD flares will mount right up as will your original lights. You may want to get the support bracket that attaches to the lower leading edge of the fender
