I decided to go with a 5858. Didn't want to give up alot of spool. I got most of the stuff for the exhaust. It will go from the 3" band to 3.5" the 40mm progate will recirculate before getting to a 3.5" vibrant resonator. I added one to the 2.5" 50trim and it worked perfectly. From there a straight shot thru the 3" Magnaflow then immediately to 4" a couple 30 degree bends to get under the frame then dumping out in front of the passenger rear tire.
The 5858 should be a good match for these engines and allow you to make ~600-650whp. If your goals are a lot smaller it might be worth going with a smaller turbo that thats up to you.
Depends on the goals, if they are 500whp+ then yep, great match. For less then that though there are better options, such as the S252 & EFR among others.
Chris I was really happy with my first turbo. If I was gonna stay on the stock bottom end I would consider the 5431 billet wheel precision or even a borg warner s series. For the street I prefer the better spool. I'm giving up some spool but I'm gonna be turning more rpm with my bottom end. But who am I to say alot of guys have run 6262's. I ended up with another truck so mine may end at the track. I talked to Luiz a couple weeks ago when I decided on the 5858. He seemed excited by it. I'm just enjoying the build. After taking the summer off for fishing.
You can push 350whp quite efficiently with the 5858.
Sure it can support 600+
but with proper tuning it'll kick ass and take names at 350whp. Plenty of flow.
