Well the RH CV boot has spluged out all of its grease again. Any recommendations on a replacement - do I need to replace the entire half axle assy? Discounted the Toyota part is like $360. Also, how many miles can I go before something bad happens due to the loss of all that grease?
You can get a new boot kit with grease but when it happened to me I just got the new cv and differential seal. popped it out popped new one on and done deal. You can turn old back in for the core or keep old one for emergency spare and fix it when ya can. I had the weird but normal problem of boot clamps loosening right after lifting. Everything has been good since with them, knock on wood. Hope that helps.
